This opera centers around a character, Herman, and their internal struggles. Herman was a man who got consumed by his obsessions, first his obsession of love and then finally his obsession with gambling. What was important for this Lighting and Projection design was to show the inner turmoil that was destroying him first on the inside and eventually enough that these feelings became physical manifestations on the world. I wanted to show how badly this person struggled and how his mental health eventually
